Spam and bulk email The major problem that is facing bulk email online marketing is spam. The cost of managing spam is one of the major reasons why customers and businesses dislike it. The estimated cost that is spent each year to deal with spam comes to approximately $9.36 according to an EU research report. This grown in spam has been attributed to the increase in bulk marketing email and the ready availability of emarketing softwares over the internet. Most companies today are moving to permission based emails in-order to avoid the allegations of spam but this kind of email marketing is proving to be an extremely costly affair. The formalities that a responsible email marketing needs a company to do is just too complex and even after doing all these a company risks the possibility of being termed as a spammer. The solution to deal with this situation rests in developing laws and regulations to deal with the situation. Improved technology can also play a major role in dealing with the crises. Most direct email marketing service providing companies will also have to deal with the situation. But as for now companies and consumers will have to learn to accept spam as something that comes along while using the internet and doing business online.
