This has done wonders for the affiliate employee who now can get access to great affiliate programs having multiple tier commission structures. Affiliate employee also benefits from life time commissions which most affiliate merchants are forced to give because of increased competition. This has given rise to a situation where the affiliate can make a good amount of money by making use of the right strategies and having the right outlook. The odds that face an affiliate in an affiliate program are great as compared to the affiliate merchant. In fact the situation seems to be win-win to the affiliate merchants where-as for the affiliates the situation is a win or loose one. But this situation seems to be changing a bit with increased competition among affiliate merchants. These measures have been taken by many affiliate merchants in order to protect their affiliates from joining other affiliate programs. In fact many affiliate merchants have also started new exclusivity schemes that involve the affiliates working only for them. This plan is effective as it involves paying out more commissions to the affiliates in order to retain them. The affiliate merchants have also to pay the affiliates incentives on a regular basis. This type of change in the affiliate market is seen as a welcome change by the affiliates or publishers. The odds that seemed to be against them are slowing decreasing and the situation seems to be turning into a truly win-win situation.
